Telekom Srbija a.d. is a modern, entirely locally owned telecommunications company, which has held the leading role in the fields of fixed and mobile telephony, Internet and multimedia, both in the country and in the region, for 15 years. The main business activities of the company include all types of fixed, mobile and internet services within Republic of Serbia and the region. Part of the Telekom Srbija Group are Telekom’s subsidiaries: Telekom Srpske a.d. (Bosnia and Herzegovina), m:tel d.o.o. (Montenegro), Telus a.d., Belgrade, FiberNet d.o.o., TS:NET BV and HD WIN (4 Arena Sport TV channels).
Telekom Serbia launched mobile network based on GSM standard in 1998 and started the WCDMA operations in the end of 2006. The regional companies in Montenegro and Republika Srpska both are also running fixed and mobile networks, offering fixed, 2G and 3G services to their customers. More than 6 million mobile and 3 million fixed subscribers are using Telekom Srbija services. Among the advanced new services is Mobile Internet based on mobile broadband with HSPA+ technology. LTE trial was conducted in 2010 and 2011 and the deployment is pending. In Montenegro, Telekom Srbija is also offering fixed and internet services using WiMAX technology, since 2007. IMS platform implemented in Serbia, Montenegro and Republika Srpska enables rich multimedia service offering. Important part of company activities are system integration and application development, enabling customized end user services and fast response to the increasing market needs.
Approximately 99.8% of users in Serbia prefer our fixed telephony service, about 56.0% users trust the quality of the mobile telephony service and about 76.7% users access the Internet via our ADSL.
